Our Mission
God's Word teaches us that men are the spiritual leaders of the family. Yet, while many of us jump at almost any opportunity to lead others, we shy away from leading ourselves or our families spiritually. Contemporary society and pop-culture discourage men from honoring the teachings in the Bible, do not celebrate men that act like Jesus Christ, and often lampoon those that choose to obey even some of the 10 commandments! It's no wonder men are reluctant to display their faith boldly and be spiritual leaders. Our culture has caused many of us to choose the path of least resistance so that we fit in. We allow society, not God, to dictate how we act and view ourselves as men. The BAF Men want to change this pattern. We want the men of our church and society to live God-honoring, authentic lives--and most importantly to teach our children to do the same. Are you ready for a change? Are you ready to be the man that God intended you to be? You've come to the right place.
Our Mission Statement
To equip God's men to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:12.
Our Tools
We believe that men grow with God through interaction with and interdependence on other Godly men. BAF Men have discipleship groups that gather at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 7:00 a.m. on Saturday mornings at locations all over Corpus Christi. Click HERE to see the locations. In addition to our discipleship groups, BAF Men have a weekly newsletter, men-specific resources on this site, and other social events focused on men's issues. We are striving constantly to expand our resources, so check back frequently for updates!
Our Challenge
God has a specific plan for your life. Are you following it? If you are allowing something other than His Word to tell you what is right, wrong, or how to be a good husband, father, or man, the answer is "no."
